Daredevil 2003
Directed by Mark Steven Johnson103 minFantasy · Action
By day, blind attorney Matt Murdock toils for justice in Hell's Kitchen. By night, he's Daredevil, The Man Without Fear - a powerful, masked vigilante stalking the dark streets with an uncanny "radar sense" that allows him to "see" with superhuman capabilities. But when the love of his life, fiery Elektra Natchios, is targeted by New York City's ruthless Kingpin of crime and his deadly assassin Bullseye, Daredevil may be about to meet his match.

Daredevil is incredible. It is one of the best pieces of superhero media I have ever watched. I love the character and he was translated so perfectly onto screen. I can’t think of anyone better suited to play him and every other character, all of them were cast so perfectly. The action is some of the best action I’ve seen in the superhero genre and the character development was incredible as well as all the scenes where Matt is a lawyer. And how good was bullseye and kingpin, honestly one of my favourite things I have ever watched.
I am of course talking about the daredevil tv show, this was terrible.
I only watched this out of curiosity because daredevil is my favourite superhero.
The origin stuff is alright but from there it just becomes laughably bad. The suit sucks, the transitions and action is all so goofy and not in a good way because it really feels like it’s trying to be cool and serious.
Ben Affleck is a worse daredevil than he was a Batman. But Jon Favreau was a pretty cool pick for foggy. Charlie Cox is insurmountably better as Daredevil. Ben Affleck has no charisma when playing Matt Murdock and comes off as a serial killer when playing daredevil. It gets a little better towards the end but is also really boring. I love Colin Farrell but not even he could save this movie. Elektra isn’t bad either but I don’t think I will ever watch her film.
I love daredevil though so I’m glad I have finally watched it just so I can say I have.
