Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling film. Actually was pretty entertaining. For a lot of the film I kinda disliked the way it switched from the two main storylines, mostly because they weren’t connected at all, but it all comes together at the end in a pretty cool way. I think the two main friends had a cool friendship but they didn’t have much chemistry on screen and it would have made a better ending if we gotta see more of them together.
The whole romance side of it on Steve Carell’s side was kinda dumb as he’s going through all this shit to get his wife back who cheated on him. Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone had a nice romance but it didn’t show enough of them and only showed very short and uninteresting clips of her own life. Then it had the weird side plot of the son and the 17 year old girl which just felt a little weird.
The story as a whole was pretty nice though and it all comes together for a nice ending that I had to pause multiple times because of second hand embarrassment. Steve Carell changing his wardrobe and learning how to talk to women was fun.
La la land spin off.
