A married workaholic, Michael Newman doesn't have time for his wife and children, not if he's to impress his ungrateful boss and earn a well-deserved promotion. So when he meets Morty, a loopy sales clerk, he gets the answer to his prayers: a magical remote that allows him to bypass life's little distractions with increasingly hysterical results.

If the remote had a reverse button and he didn’t ruin his life this could have been like a superhero film.  A lot of the jokes in this are really unfunny, sometimes just kind of weird. Also Adam Sandler’s character is just really unlikable. Especially the way he treats his wife was just really annoying. All the moments with Christopher walken were also really weird and unfunny. The concept is really cool and that’s why I watched it but it may be an idea better suited for a Smosh video rather than a long form Adam Sandler movie.  The film did have its funny moments. Usually due to other actors, such as Terry Crews, but even moments like that were ruined by Adam Sandler’s character. Although it was funny seeing him mess with his son’s bully.  It went a bit off the rails but had a heartwarming ending with a good message. Feel like his take away at the end was that he’s not gonna work anymore and focus on his family but then they would be homeless so that’s not the best takeaway. But I do like the message of not fast forwarding through life, don’t skip the small stuff as one day looking back that’ll be the stuff you miss the most.  5.5/10
