This movie really fell apart at the end. I ended up saying “what the fuck” out loud a couple of times coz of the incredibly weird direction they took the film in. The main character is an idiot, I quite liked him for most of the film and now I hate him, he’s a weirdo.
I really like Jason Lee. He plays a massive dick in every film he’s in but he’s weirdly still quite likeable and I was happy to see him in this. Him and Ben Affleck as comic book writers is a really cool idea for a film, but all the lesbian stuff was done so poorly and it was really weird. Ben Affleck’s character is just an asshole.
Some of the monologues are really stretched out and get quite boring. The intense shouting matches got quite annoying. But the ending really just killed the film for me I don’t recommend this film, a really poorly done time skip after an almost laughable scene with the three main characters.
This film was mostly watchable but I’m in shock from the ending so.
