So this was pretty much exactly what I expected, another completely average DC film, this time bringing the rock in, which is both kind of cool and extremely uncool at the same time.  I never cared about this at all, from the first trailer I thought it looked shit, but after seeing a post from the rock and seeing how much of a passion project it was for him I started to care about it a little more. “15 hard years of fighting to make this passion project a reality. Years of studio execs saying “is there any other DC superheroes you want to play INSTEAD of Black Adam?” My answer was always no. To me Teth Adam’s story mattered. when I was a little boy the one thing that drew me to Teth Adam when I saw my first Black Adam⚡️ comic….  He was a hero of color.  That mattered to me then.  As it matters to me now.  Kids of ALL colors around the world will now be able to see themselves in Black Adam⚡️ 15 long years.  Worth the fight. “ I thought that was kinda cool. I remember him being announced to play black Adam ages ago and it’s weird to finally see it, and he wasn’t awful.  The film it’s self wasn’t that good, very generic. It had some interesting topics and the cgi is miles better than anything the mcu had done recently. But the pacing was a bit all over the place and most of the characters were a bit dull. Dr fate was ok and surprisingly hawkman was good, but there wasn’t much else to the film other than a boring action film that got a couple chuckles out of me and wasn’t a terrible revenge story. But for most of the film I was trying not to fall asleep. My roommate had to tap me on the shoulder a few times asking if I was sleeping because I looked so bored and I was so close to dozing off. The film was…. Fine…. And that’s probably the nicest thing I’ll say about it. 5.0/10 After credits 8/10
