As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. So I stayed up to 2:30 am because there was a rumour that’s when the Spider-Man no way home trailer would drop. It did and it was amazing, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it all day so I decided to watch this as it’s the only film other than end game that got me as excited as I am now.
So this is my second favourite mcu film after Thor ragnarok. And it’s starts with taking a giant shit on Thor’s ending. This film is amazing, I think I’m just a sucker for crossover films and the guardians meeting the avengers and doctor strange was just a dream come true. The characters had all been introduced with their own films which were also really good, and this is what we finally get. Them meeting. It couldn’t have gone better.
This film was funny, it was sad, it was cool and it was pretty dark. Thanos is a great villain who has some really interesting motivations because he’s kind of right and wrong at the same time. His character was set up so well and he won, which watching for the first time at the cinema was an experience. Seeing all the characters get snapped was so obvious yet unexpected since stuff like that doesn’t happen in films, the good guys lost. The deaths are all so dark and so well done, it’s all amazing. Tom Holland as Spider-Man is amazing as always. Chadwick Boseman's part also makes you very sad on a rewatch after his unfortunate passing, but he is great again as always.
The guardians and Thor are also really funny, Thor’s character changed drastically after his previous film which made him fit in really well with the guardians who were always like that. Some amazing fights some great acting, really just a great film, for someone who’s seen every mcu film at the cinema since avengers in 2012, watching this just felt so rewarding and like I said just a dream come true.
Now that’s it’s done I’m gonna go back to rewatching the Spider-Man no way home trailer on repeat.
