So dune was good, it was a little boring and I knew there was gonna be a second part so for half of this film I felt like I was just waiting for it to end. It was also really slow and I felt like I was in the cinema for about 4 hours. Despite this, it was really interesting, it had good world building and great characters played by a great cast, (gonna attempt to spell and remember all of these without checking), Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin and ….. drax…… gonna have to think bout this for a minute……. It’ll come to me later never mind…… The film was very well made, and though I was slightly bored I am now very invested in the story and will be at the cinema opening night to see the second one. I will also probably read the book now, I attempted reading it once a couple of years ago in anticipation for this film, but it was very long and very con- DAVE BATISTA… sorry… Dave Batista? Is that it… sorry i thought of the name and I’m pretty sure that’s it. Sorry …. The book was very long and very confusing so I dropped it (also I stole the book from school so I had to give it back). I feel like the film was kind of easy to understand. It was a little confusing…. I work at a cinema and when I went to clean the screen after dune finished I heard a guy say to his girlfriend that it was the worst money he ever spent. I think she tried to defend it and he just kept saying  “WHAT WAS THE PLOT??  TELL ME WHAT THE PLOT WAS!”  I hadn’t seen it yet but it made me laugh. I guess it was pretty confusing to some people, and even though I knew it was just part one, I imagine if I knew nothing about it and just wanted to see a random film at the cinema, the fact that it ended so abruptly in such a random place after being so slow would have really pissed me off.  Anyway it was a good film, mostly just set up to the next one which I’d imagine should be better and I’m excited for it. Sorry if this review was all over the place, I am writing this on my walk home from the cinema. 7.9/10
