They made another one of these. First one was genuinely awful, surprisingly this one wasn’t so bad. They changed the tone of the diary of a wimpy kid films and books completely with these films and I kinda think the new tone works better for Rodrick rules. It still feels like a film for 8 year olds and the voices are kind of annoying, but the ending was a little wholesome. Doesn’t feel like diary of a wimpy kid and the animation is awful, but the brotherly love stuff was good, Greg and Rodricks relationship worked well in this children’s film and though the film isn’t good I definitely got more enjoyment out of it than I did the first one.
The story is simplified but in a way that kinda works this time for the film, still prefer the original book and film tho.
Please don’t make more of these (because if you do I’ll probably watch them)
