Recommended to me by Jamie Evans. (The director of my favourite independent film Gonzo) I actually took a break from writing my own script to watch this and this film was kinda similar to mine so watching this really helped.
I wanna get more in to watching independent films, I’ve really been enjoying them. They are normally an hour long and they don’t have a lot of different shots so it relies on great dialogue and acting. Also even though there aren’t a lot of them the shots in this are quite good, I think I just love films that have lots of still tripod shots that last a long time. Feels very minimalistic. (I have no idea if I just used that word correctly but ima go with it.
It’s nice watching a film like this though, on YouTube, not too many people have seen it, it feels like you’ve discovered something great. I quite liked the plot for this one. All set in one house, a guy is house sitting and a drunk guy keeps showing up and they become kinda friends. Very fun idea, executed in a great way.
The characters were good. Nothing really stood out to me too much about this and it got kinda slow after the guys stop talking, but it was a nice watch and would recommend. Well written. Nice ending.
If anyone else has any more Independent film recommendations or has made one themselves that I can watch I’d love to give them a go.
